Hummus
½ cup | tahini |
¼ cup | lemon/lime juice |
¼ cup | olive oil |
1-2 cloves | garlic |
a pinch | salt |
2 cans, drained | chickpeas |
In a food processor, blend your tahini, lemon/lime juice, olive oil, garlic, salt, and chickpeas until you get your desired consistency. Add water and/or more olive oil if needed.
At this point you have a plain hummus. From here you can mix in any seasonings or veggies you like. Consider using any combination of cumin, pine nuts, paprika, roasted red peppers, jalapenos, kalamata olives, or extra garlic.
